He was introduced to the world of percussion at the age of three, beginning his first drum studies with Mrs. Gaetano Fasano. In 2014, he began his studies at the "G. Martucci" Conservatory of Salerno, graduating with top honors in 2019 with a Level II Degree in "Percussion and Jazz Drums" under the guidance of Mrs. Paolo Cimmino. He completed his academic journey at the "University of Music and Performing Arts of Mannheim" in Germany with M° José Cortijo.
In 2020, Francesco began studying music therapy at ISFOM (Institute of Music Therapy Training) in Naples, one of the most important training centers in southern Italy, and completed his studies with top honors in July 2024. His career is enriched by the influence of instruments and rhythms from various cultures around the world, which shaped his artistic path and led him to collaborate with internationally renowned artists, actors, and performers. He has also participated in numerous musical and theatrical accompaniment experiences both in Italy and Europe.
In 2024, alongside the NGO Amka, Francesco traveled to Africa, where he led a music project in several villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo. There, he involved local artists, blending the traditions of Congolese traditional music with European music.
For several years now, Francesco has been conducting percussion and Drum Circle seminars in Italy and abroad, which led him to be certified in 2021 as a “Drum Circle Spirit” Facilitator according to Arthur Hull's method. He leads various music workshops aimed at people with illnesses and disabilities, as well as individuals facing social challenges. Sensitive to societal topics and inequalities, in 2021, Francesco became responsible for the sound/music expression workshop for inmates at the Juvenile Detention Center of Nisida (NA).
He then joined the staff of Dynamo Camp in Limestre in 2022 as the manager of percussion activities. There, Francesco currently works with children, adolescents, and adults with a range of disabilities and health conditions, using music as a therapeutic tool to support their well-being and development.
Francesco is also a music teacher at the “F. Smaldone” Middle School for the Deaf in Salerno, where he launched the “Mai sentito prima” (Never Heard Before) project aimed at both deaf and hearing students. Since 2019, Francesco has been an endorser for Meinl Percussion, one of the leading companies in the world of percussion instruments. The same company appointed him as an ambassador of Meinl Sonic Energy, a recognition that reflects his dedication and passion for using music as a tool for healing and connection. These collaborations allow him to explore new sonic frontiers and share the transformative power of music with a growing audience.
Through his performances and therapeutic work, Francesco is constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to advance his mission of using music as a catalyst for change and personal growth.
