Thai Gongs
Crafted in Thailand in the traditional Burmese style, the Meinl Sonic Energy Thai Gongs are a beautiful blend of sound and craftsmanship. Made from bronze, these gongs produce deep, resonant tones that are ideal for meditation, sound therapy, and musical performances. Carefully hand-hammered, each gong is unique in both appearance and sound, giving every piece its own character and resonance. This handcrafted quality extends to the included traditional mallet, which may vary slightly in style, adding an authentic touch.
The mallets are made from fabric sourced from Buddhist monk robes, with a core made from repurposed jute rice sacks, emphasizing sustainability and cultural significance. The gongs can be played either by hand or mounted on a stand, offering flexibility for different playing styles and settings. A distinctive feature of these gongs is the raised central boss, surrounded by an elegantly carved floral design.
Please notice: Each gong is unique, variations in hand hammer patterns and coloration from the heating process may occur.
